My second Let’s Look linkup of the year is here!
In case you missed my first linkup in February, you can see ways I’ve turned into my parents here!
I quite literally waited until the very last minute to decide if I was going to join in on this topic. Better almost late than never, right? Haha!
Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom wrote a post for it (be sure to hop over and check it out!), so I figured I could come up with a few things to share that I’m making more time right now, more specifically for this summer. I think it’s easier to break things down into seasons lately!

Be sure to check out the post by Shay (Mix and Match Mama) while Erika (A Little Bit of Everything) is on vacation this week, as well as others at the bottom of Shay’s post!
So grab your coffee (or fave beverage!) and let’s dive into this month’s Let’s Look linkup together – things I’m making more time for!
The Bible Recap
I have tried and failed to finish The Bible Recap a couple of times now, and it really pains me to write that. I have been diligently making space for it nearly each day for the past month and want to continue that into the summer. I am thinking about skipping ahead to Samuel, but still sticking with the next day’s chapter where I am in Exodus (I start completely over each time instead of picking up where I left off, so I’m getting to know Genesis and Job very well, haha).
We started watching House of David on Amazon Prime and while I enjoy watching it, I realized they changed a lot of stuff with their ‘creative liberties.’ I don’t love that and I truly think it does a disservice, but it made me realize I need to know this story better in The Bible so I will know the difference between what actually happened and what they’re saying happened.
A Summer Reset
If you’ve been here with me for a little while, you know it’s not a secret how much of a struggle this year has been and that I really want a reset this summer. You’ll start seeing more posts about that soon, but mainly I’m looking to get back in touch with my goals and make a plan for each of them, as well as some fun stuff! Sometimes it’s just a mental shift needed for a good reset, like instead of trying to do everything all at once and feeling like I’m getting nowhere, I can take things one single step at a time and see how those add up to good results.
Better Hair Routine
One thing I’m really bad about is not getting my hair trimmed! I’m blessed that it goes so quickly so I’m not complaining about that, but I just let it go and get those split ends, and it feels unmanageable. So, I just throw it up all the time!
I do wash it daily or every other day (I know that’s not necessarily good, I will be checking into all of that soon!), but I just really want to spend some time getting into a better hair care routine. More volume into my hair and less frizz would be wonderful. I also am thinking about trying out a silk pillowcase for this, I’ve heard that’s great for your hair too.
Reading One Book Per Month
I go back and forth into reading phases, and I drive my own self crazy! I’ve been wanting to read more but just can’t seem to pick up a book lately. I’m making it a goal to read or listen to one book per month this summer and I think that will help me ease into it and still keep it manageable. I would love any recommendations you have! I’m trying to avoid overly sad/emotional books.
Whimsy, Nostalgic Things

I don’t know if it’s just me or if it’s becoming a new trend, but I keep seeing all these fun, nostalgic things that remind me of my childhood. One of our local bakeries is having a 90’s theme and making some treats based on the Little Debbie snack cakes, and they had this adorable, whimsy sign put together for it. I find myself craving simpler things that used to bring me so much joy, long before I was glued to my phone or a laptop. There’s something that keeps sending me back to my roots and I really want to embrace that and share more content for the sake of sharing joyful things instead of making it into a master task. Does that make any sense? I hope so!
Watch Gilmore Girls with Carrie
Speaking of nostalgia, I feel like this show brings that to so many people who’ve watched it before! I had never watched it and neither had Carrie from Curly Crafty Mom, so we are watching it together from afar this summer! I don’t know if we’ll actually wrap it up in a few months or if we’ll be watching into the fall, but it’ll be fun either way! I’m really enjoying it so far and on episode 11 of season one. I’ve been amazed at the celebs that were in it, like Chad Michael Murray and Jared Padalecki!
P.S. I think Carrie and I would have fit in really well since those girls love coffee so much, haha!
Sharing More Real-Life Content on Socials
I know that everything I share is my real life, but I feel like I’ve been so disconnected from sharing on socials. I think I got discouraged with the algorithm and felt it’s worked against me no matter how consistent I was, so I just sort of removed myself in a way. But I’ve found myself really wanting to show up there more and connect with all of you, that is my favorite part, and just share things that are happening even if it’s just my little backyard critters that I’ve adopted as my own because I miss my cats!
Vitamin D
I know I have to be careful of the sun (skin cancer scares me big time), but I genuinely do not get enough time outdoors. I actually have a Vitamin D deficiency, so I take it every single day. Getting more sun isn’t going to cure that, but I do think it helps me mentally and I wouldn’t mind a little color. Any thoughts on this one? I need to get a better sunscreen also!

That’s a wrap on this month’s Let’s Look linkup, sweet friends! Thanks so much for spending some time with me today, and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts in the comments. I’d love to hear what you’re making more time for lately!
P.S. I think I speak for all of us ladies doing this linkup that we would love to have YOU join us! If you’re a planner like me and would like to know the upcoming topics, check out the graphic below. The linkup is the second Wednesday of every month.
