Men can be the most difficult to buy for on our list!
I cringed just a bit looking at this month’s Let’s Look topic, I can’t lie! I struggle a bit with choosing what to buy for men on my list already. I’m not sure if it’s like this for everyone, but between my husband, my dad, and my FIL – they all kind of get what they want throughout the year.

Be sure to check out the posts by Shay (Mix and Match Mama) and Erika (A Little Bit of Everything) for this linkup! Also, my dear friend Carrie (Curly Crafty Mom) participated in this linkup also, so stop by and see her post too! 🙂
I’m a firm believer in it’s the thought that counts and we know that Christmas is not about gifts anyway, it’s about the birth of our Savior! Also, I want to note that I almost always find these types of gifts on sale when I buy them! Don’t be afraid to look in clearance sections or sale racks, there are some real gems in there!
I’ll share some of the tried-and-true gifts I’ve found to be really great holiday gift ideas for men, and hope you’ll find some of these helpful for the men in your life!

Golf Accessories
Most of you know my husband is a golfer. While I would never even attempt to buy extra pricey equipment, there are a few golf accessories that I’m comfortable buying for him! If you’re married to a golfer, you’ll know that they have their own particular brands or specific things that they love – so I recommend asking ahead of time if you don’t already know, or sneaking into their stuff to see what they buy. Not that I’ve done that or anything when we first got married, haha!
Clothing
I usually pick up Kyle some sort of clothing for any gift. It’s something he typically won’t buy himself and I like to think I’ve gotten pretty good at choosing things he likes! Most of his clothes, minus comfy clothes to wear around the house, doubles as golf and work clothes, so that makes it nice!
I’m including some of his favorites and some pieces that dads would love as well!
Kyle’s Favorites: He has three pairs of the Adidas pants in different colors and loves them! The thermal socks are another fave because he has chronically cold feet in the evenings and they really help!
A quick note about the Ohio State Buckeyes polo: we live here in Ohio so it’s fitting for us, but they have all the other sports teams too!
Tech Accessories
None of the men in my life are big tech-gadget people, but these have made for great gifts and I hope you’ll find something on this list for the men on your list!
My parents are in their seventies and LOVE their Amazon Echo Show, just in case you have older parents as well! They talk to Alexa and ask her about the weather, to play a song they like, or just browse some of the news stories that scroll by. It also controls their lamp, so they can tell it to turn their lamp on/off, it’s so handy!
P.S. I really wanted to include the new Amazon Kindle that’s in color, but I noticed there were very few reviews AND they’re almost all negative! That made me sad. I hope it improves so people can snag it if they’ve been wanting color (I’m one of those people!).
All The Cups for Coffee, Water & Protein Shakes
Whether the men in your life drink coffee, water, tea, soda, or protein drinks – they need a cup of some form or fashion for that! I grouped together the ones that I’ve had the best luck with!
The blender bottles are Kyle’s favorite for his protein shakes and pre-workout drinks!

That’s a wrap on my holiday gift ideas for men on this month’s Let’s Look! linkup, sweet friends!
I know this may not be the typical gift guide for men, but I’m hoping it will be helpful to my fellow wives/girlfriends/daughters that are trying to wrap up their Christmas shopping!
Question for you: Have you started Christmas shopping yet?

![Thoughts on 2020 & My Word for 2021 BEFORE READ-MORE Let’s be honest, 2020 was a tough year! I had a whole lot of beautifully-laid out plans that unfortunately just didn’t happen. Partly because of the pandemic, and partly because of my mindset. I found myself just sort of depressed and couldn’t really find the motivation I needed. Thankfully, ever since the holidays, I’ve felt like this universal shift is coming and things are going to be so much brighter this year. I’m definitely pouring all of my positive energy into making my goals happen this year, no matter what things look like with the pandemic. I have to realize that it’s not within my control what happens in the world. I just have control over myself. I wanted to share with you my biggest takeaways from last year. I want to stay mindful of these three things during 2021, and beyond. Plus, I’ll be sharing my word for this year at the bottom! Take Care of Your Loved Ones This past year tore us away from our family and friends. It was heartbreaking for so many, especially to those who are now grieving over some of them. As each year passes, it is almost always on my mind that some of my loved ones may not make it to see another year. That probably sounds very morbid and daunting, and is probably just a result of my life experiences. But it has opened my eyes to really pay special attention to those I love the most. I want to show them that I care while they are here. I want them to know without a doubt that I’m there for them and will do anything in my power to help them. I work very hard to not take anyone for granted because we never know when our time is up. Protect Your Peace I learned how important protecting my peace was last year. I felt like I was going through a multitude of things. Some of the things that were bothering me the most, I couldn’t even control and didn’t directly involve me. They involved loved ones. I’m sure many of you have had similar situations where you have family members that can sometimes play a toxic role in your life. As a result, I really needed to rely on creating healthy boundaries and sticking to those. It’s an ongoing difficult situation for me, but I have truly handled it better than I ever have before. I hope to continue to grow in this area and get better with those healthy boundaries. Try to Control What You Can Control (Not What You Can’t) This one is pretty much directly tied to what I just mentioned about protecting my peace. I’ve spent so much time (that I can never get back) stressing myself out over things I can’t control. Mostly in regard to loved ones, but also the world as a whole. While I choose not to talk politics in this space, I think we all can agree that things have just been a mess in the United States for the past year and even right now. The pandemic, the mud-slinging, all of the sad news that’s plastered all over the tv or our social media...it’s just exhausting. I just had to cut out most of the news because it was so depressing. Short of voting and praying for things to get better, that’s really all I can control. The rest of it will be what it will be, and I’m really trying to remind myself that each day. My Word for 2021 is Growth I’ve been flip-flopping between ‘change’ and ‘growth’ for my word this year. I realized what I wanted for this year was way more like ‘growth’ than ‘change.’ My thought process on using ‘change’ was that I was creating these new habits that were going to be life-changing and help really boost me to achieving my goals. When I thought about it a little more, I realized ‘growth’ really summarizes what I want to embody this year the best. It still requires change to happen, but it just seems like a better fit to choose ‘growth.’ [PIN] I hope you’ve gained a little something from reading this post, friend. I’m wishing you an amazing week filled with lots of joy. ust on a fun side note, I’m looking forward to watching The Bachelor and WandaVision this week. Do you have any fun shows/things in general you’re looking forward to? Let’s Chat! Do you identify with any of these takeaways from 2020? Have you chosen a word for this year? Fun question: Have you been watching The Bachelor this season?](https://i0.wp.com/www.makelifemarvelous.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/01/Thoughts-on-2020-and-Word-for-2021.png?fit=150%2C126&ssl=1)
I totally agree that men are the hardest to shop for – it feels like they already have everything they need haha! I usually stick to fragrances for my SO, but I love your suggestions, especially the drinkware ideas! xx

Haha exactly Lenne, they are buyers in-the-moment instead of waiting for holidays! Fragrances are always a great idea, and so happy you liked the drinkware goodies!!
Do we have the same husband, dad, and FIL??? Ha! Why are they so difficult to buy for??
Ha ha, that’s too funny Maddie!! I think all of us women are in the same boat trying to figure out all the things to buy for the men in our life! Thanks so much for stopping by! 🙂
I love the thermal sock idea. Brian also had cold feet then tries to put them on me.
Thank you so much Adrienne and goodness, I feel your pain! My hubby does that at night too and it’s the worst, haha!
I agree 1000% that guys are just impossible to buy for. Brian’s and my anniversary is 12/1 and then Christmas follows right after that, and then his birthday is right behind that, so it’s SO HARD to find that much stuff for him. There’s not ever much that he wants! These are some great ideas, though. I love the golf stuff… I’ll have to consider a couple of those items for Brian now that he’s playing golf again since Jacob started playing! Thanks for the ideas! Have a wonderful day!
My husband would be all over the tech gifts! Ha, ha! I had to chuckle at all of the golf stuff… who knew that there was so much stuff for golf?
