Happy New Year, friend!
My brain is just bursting at the seams with all sorts of ideas to bring to life this year. Don’t you love when your creativity is in full swing? I think the new year does a little bit of that for each of us, but it’s also a little harder to hold onto throughout the year.
I’m doing my best to set up some guardrails for 2026 so that I don’t forget these pretty little goals after I hit publish on this post. Looking back on my goals for 2025, I see many things that I ticked off that list but also many that went totally forgotten about. So I am going to set up monthly reminders in my Apple calendar to check-in with these specific goals!
I did some reflecting on last year’s goals and one my favorite house goals we achieved last year was rebuilding the dreaded fire pit in the backyard, it looks so pretty now and will last for years to come. I also ran a 5K with my husband and got a PR, it was such a cool experience!
Grab your coffee (or fave beverage!) and let’s dive into my goals for 2026 together!
Personal Goals
- Continue praying for a very special request this year (I would so love and appreciate you joining with me; God knows all about it!)
- Pick a challenge for each month of 2026 (January is the Down Dog App Challenge!)
- Make gratitude a priority by writing at least one sentence of what I’m thankful for each day
- Read or listen to 12 books this year (here’s my Goodreads to follow along!)
- Start and finish The Bible Recap (I have tried and failed at this for two years….could this be THE year?!)
House Goals
- Remove tree stumps in backyard
- Use Thompson Sealer on the front porch
- Create a Pebble Beach memory wall
- Buy new curtains for my office and spare bedroom
- Replace blinds in laundry room
Blog Goals
- Share an email with each new blog post
- Write and publish my favorite recipes throughout the year
- Revamp All The Things blog series and share each month
- Commit to an editorial calendar for the blog and socials
- Get Canva storage down to 70% or less (currently at 96%, I’m living on the edge over here!)

That’s a wrap on my 2026 goals, sweet friends! I always enjoy sharing these with you each year! I’d love to hear what some of your goals are and if you have a word of the year picked out! I’ll probably do a post on that next week, I’m still narrowing mine down.
THANK YOU so much for being here with me during 2025 and beyond, and I’m so excited to share our 2026 together! If you’re not already following along on my other social platforms, I’ll include the links below so you can hop over to those!

Happy New Year to you, Kim! I am trying to hit the ground running so far, thank you so much! š
Happy New Year Ashley! These are great goals, and I love that you’ve broken them down into categories. I want to do a monthly challenge in 2026. Writing a thankful sentence a day is a wonderful way to practice gratitude!

Happy New Year, my friend! Thank you so much, I’m going to try to keep working hard at them this year. I love that you want to do a monthly challenge also, I know you’ll do great no matter what you pick!
I think it took me three years before I finally committed to getting through the Bible Recap. I’d start and stop, but finally by the third year I did it!! Did you do the yoga every day for a month last year in January? I thought you did, but I can’t remember. These are all great goals. I’ve been praying for that special request!

You definitely inspired me to keep going my dear friend, I think this is the year I’m going to do it! Yes, I did the yoga challenge last January too, but this time I’m doing the meditation also! Thank you so so much for your prayers!!
I hope you share some recipes! You know I’m always up for trying new ones! Praying your special request is answered this year, too.
Aww thanks so much Laura, I will make it a priority! I have a crockpot roast recipe coming very soon this month, I just have a little bit to wrap up on the post. I always enjoy seeing what you’re meal planning and making too! Thank you SO very much for your prayers, it means so much and I know it will help!
Desejo-lhe o melhor para 2026 e muitas felicidades.

Love you right back Regine, and thank you SO much for your prayers – I know they’re going to help!! Happy New Year my friend!
Happy New Year! I think you have a great mix of goals. I think editorial calendars really make content production quicker as you know exactly what you’re meant to be posting and when, I use them for work a lot. In terms of my goals, I want to read more this year. I don’t have a set number of books I want to finish but I started reading again at the end of last year and want to continue that. Also I just want to get out more, especially with exploring the city and going to the gym. Being outdoors is really good for my mental health.

Happy New Year, Sarah! Thank you so much! Oh, I love your goals too and I’m right there with you on reading. I didn’t place it here because I think I’d feel that added pressure, but I started reading Let Them in December and I’ve been in a good reading rhythm ever since. I hope yours continues too and you enjoy it, along with venturing out more as well. I so agree with you, just getting outside in some fresh air is so good not just for the body, but the mind too! And I need to hop to my editorial calendar goal, I’m slacking over here already, haha!
You had my curiosity struck with the Down Dog app thing until I pulled up the app! That quickly died out for me. However, I’ll be riding horses this year, so that will definitely get me physically active again.
My Canva account truly is a hot mess. I’ve tried to organize it over the years, but I have a LOT of templates I’ve accumulated to use. Funny how I stick with the same ones, though. (I am too much a creature of habit.) But I hang onto them because I feel like one day I’ll use them.
I have a feeling I know what your prayer is for, and I will definitely be praying with you. Ironically, I just wondered if I was right that you were getting that blessing. But I could be totally utterly wrong!
I look forward to seeing all you do with your blog this year!
Aww, I’m sorry you didn’t like the app, Crystal! They have some others that are connected to, like I’ve been using the meditation app as well and really enjoy it. Riding horses sounds great and a fun way to move your body! I’ve never rode a horse before. I can so relate on being a creature of habit. I am probably at 98% full right now, so I need to get on that goal pronto, ha ha! Thank you SO so much for your prayers, I truly appreciate it and know it will make a difference! You may very well be right. I promise I’ll share if it comes to pass this year! <3 I'm always excited to see your blog content my friend and wishing you the very best with it and everything else this year!
These are some great goals, and I have no doubt in my mind that you’ll do well with them! I will keep your special prayer intention in my prayers as well. Hope you’re having a wonderful week, Ashley!
That means so much Lindsay, thank YOU tons! I know your prayers will help, and I’m ticking away at these goals the best I can so far – hopefully it stays that way all year, ha ha! Wishing you a wonderful weekend! My week has been great, just flying by quickly. š
Cheering you on, friend! Love how youāre turning big dreams into bite-size, calendar-backed action. The Pebble Beach memory wall and monthly challenges are such vibe setters for the year. Hereās to gratitude, 12 great books, and hitting publish with purpose. Youāve got this, and Iām sipping coffee right along with you.
Aww, thank you tons Candice, I so appreciate it!! We are going to have lots of coffee and goal-achieving this year, I think! š

Aww thank you my dear friend, you are the very best! I know you’re going to do amazing with your goals this year as you make your list, and I’ve been adding in little things all this month for my All The Things, I think that’s going to make them a lot more manageable to keep up with! š
These are great goals, and I am confident you will achieve them! You are so focused and driven, it will be a breeze for you! Joining you in prayer for your special request as well.
Hoping this year, I get to visit your blog more often, so I can celebrate your wins with you as you hit these goals! š
