It’s been a little while since I shared a favorites post here on the blog!
While I was going through a season of reading early this year, I’ve now sort of dialed back on it and started watching a little more TV. I am a lover of reality shows (I know, they can be so dramatic!), romantic comedies, and true/fictional crime shows.
I drive my husband a little crazy with my tv choices. In fact, the only ones that we seem to both enjoy watching together are music competition shows (like The Voice or American Idol) and the new Marvel series’.
Anyhoo, let’s dive into a few of my absolute favorite TV shows at the moment!
Cruel Summer
I am obsessed with this new show on Hulu! If you don’t have Hulu and are interested in the show, it’s definitely worth joining to check it out.
I think it is based off of a book, but I haven’t read it. The periods switch between 1993, 1994, and 1995. They do a really good job of not making you feel like they’re jumping all over the place.
It truly keeps you guessing as to who is really telling the truth, who is the real victim in the scenario, and what’s actually going to happen in each episode.
Teen Mom
I am loving both Teen Mom OG and Teen Mom 2. I know these are two different variations, but I’m tying them in together since they’re both in the Teen Mom franchise.
Teen Mom OG just wrapped up last week, and now Teen Mom 2 is on this week! This show is usually a love or hate thing, and it’s definitely understandable. I’ve watched the OG mom’s since the very beginning, so I sort of feel like I grew up watching them as they grew up and faced challenges.
OG is certainly my favorite, but I really enjoy Teen Mom 2 and am a big fan of Leah on there. She’s such a champion for mental health and personal growth.
Organized Crime
Any Stabler fans reading this? I have loved him from the beginning of Law & Order: SVU. Watching Stabler and Liv work together was always interesting to me back in the day, and I was really sad when he left the show ten years ago.
So I was super excited when I found out he was coming back on SVU and also had his own show! Honestly, it’s been a sad return for the character and a lot of bad things are happening, but I think they’ve done a great job with Organized Crime so far.
I also really like Dylan McDermott, even though I’m not so happy about him being a bad guy.

Movies are awesome, too! I feel so out of touch since theatres have been out for so long, but I know they’re releasing a lot online now. I need to get up to date, haha!

I don’t remember the last time I frequently watched a series or a TV show! The last one I’ve seen was probably Bridgerton and I absolutely loved it. <3

I haven’t seen any of these, but I am listening to this Podcast right now called The Apology Line and it is a true story and SOOO good if you like crime stuff.

I don’t get a lot of time to watch TV shows – when I do get a rare moment (maybe once a week if I’m lucky) I stick with fun ones like Nailed it or Superstore – also loved friends and Schitt’s Creek. Comedies are my go-to! 🙂

I haven´t seen any of it. At the moment I kind of rewatch HIMYM. I wanted something funny, that I can watch, but nothing that takes too much of my time so the 20 minute episodes are perfect 🙂
