It’s time for all the things for this month!
Welcome my version of a monthly recap post that lands here on the final Friday of each month. Just in case you missed last month’s post, you can click on January’s All The Things below!
If you’re reading this on posting day, you may be wondering if I know it’s Wednesday and not Friday! 🙂 I’m wanting to get this one out a little ahead of time due to Draino not doing well.
While February is usually the month filled with hearts, chocolate and all the cozy things…it has more so looked like stacks on stacks of snow/ice, navigating stress over our elder cat, and kind of just surviving. I try to keep things light and positive here, but also just want to keep things very real with you and let you know you’re not alone if you’re having a tough start to 2026 too.
Grab your coffee (or fave beverage!) and let’s dive into all the things from February!
Life Lately
This section is always a mix of personal life, blog life, and everything in between — the real behind-the-scenes of the month.
Continuing Cat Struggles (Update 3/2/26: Draino crossed the rainbow bridge on 2/27/26)

I truly appreciate all of your sweet comments on my post from last month about Draino, they were all very helpful! We’ve been on a rollercoaster ride for awhile now. She has a good day or two in a row and then it’s followed by a really rough next few days, and we just sort of repeat that process. I’m a 2-3 times per week pest at the vet, calling them to try to figure out how to help since this Lactulose didn’t seem to be working. We took her for an x-ray last week and they didn’t believe there was a blockage, but just that she was super backed up. Sadly, we are three enemas later and while she finally had a little relief on Monday, nothing else has even came out. She stopped eating this week and we are trying to surrender her into the Lord’s hands – and it is SO hard. She is staying cozy in all her blankets though and does seem peaceful.
It has also been difficult this month because my parents had to put their dog down two weeks ago and she’s been in the family for nearly 13 years, so just lots of emotional pet stuff lately.
I am actually putting this post out a couple of days early because I think she will likely pass away by then and I just don’t know that I’ll have the energy to come back to this section where I’m writing about her.
Superbowl Sunday

I didn’t love the teams that were in the Superbowl this year, but I am always a fan of football food! We curled up and enjoyed some fajitas, chicken wings and buffalo chicken flatbread. Typically, we would be at my in-laws with a whole spread of food and fellowship, but my FIL was getting cancer treatment at that time (he’s doing really well now!), so we just stayed at home and watched it.
P.S. I am also obsessed with this Everything Italian Loaf bakery bread from Walmart after my MIL used it for garlic bread last month! It’s really good.
More Appointment Fun

I mentioned last month that my parents had all the appointments and for this month, it was my turn! My two ickiest appointments all happened in February – the OBGYN and the dentist. Ick! Ick! Ick! I’m so thankful I got a good report from both doctors and should be good until August when I have my dental cleaning again. I picked up a few treats between these appointments to celebrate them being over! Do you treat yourself after a stressful appointment?
Little Joys
Small moments that made this month feel warm, cozy, or meaningful.

The PGA Tour was actually playing at Pebble Beach mid-month and it was SO cool to be able to watch it knowing Kyle also played it late last year and we got to walk the course together. The tournament played at Pebble Beach Golf Links and Spyglass Hill, and we walked both of those courses! I still need to wrap up the trip in a blog post that I’m dragging my feet on, but you can still catch the first and second recaps along with what I wore on the trip if you haven’t seen it yet! It’s literally the most beautiful place on the planet to me, or at least that I’ve ever been!

Kyle has been really into bowling since late last year and he actually had a bowling tournament on Valentine’s Day! We don’t usually do much on the actual holiday, but he surprised me with a very yummy syrup for my coffee!

I’ve been on the hunt to figure out how to remake my favorite iced coffee from a local place that doesn’t actually share what’s in it, so I finally figured out pure cane syrup is involved, and it arrived on Valentine’s Day morning before he left for bowling. I made two coffees and was bouncing off the walls I think by end of day, haha! I’m really enjoying it though. While he was bowling, I actually went to a new local bakery and picked up some sweet treats! We also ordered our favorite pizzas the day before and that was fun.

YouTube February Plan With Me

By some miracle, I actually got out a YouTube video throughout all the things going on here at home with Draino. If you haven’t seen it and enjoy watching planner videos, I’d love if you popped over there! I’m also still looking for another sticker company that does monthly kits for Laurel Denise if you know of a good one!
Shepherd’s Pie Soup
Shepherd’s pie is such a comfort food, but can you make it high protein and lighter? Yes, with this soup! I loved it and highly recommend giving it a try!
ChatGPT Photos

I wasn’t really going to post these and they’re super cartoon-like, but figured they may have a fun little place here in this post. I did one of just me and Draino, and then the other I shared a photo with ChatGPT and it gave me the image of Kyle and I. Isn’t it weird how there’s always extra hands or fingers? Haha!
Currently Reading, Watching & Loving
Things I’ve been loving, watching, reading, or reaching for lately.
Tell Me Lies Series Finale & More Gold Rush and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
There was some talk about maybe Tell Me Lies getting a season four all the way up to the night before the last episode of season three dropped – and it turned out to be the series finale! It didn’t get cancelled, but the creator really felt that she wrapped up the story just the way she wanted and there wasn’t much more to tell. While I’d love some things answered as far as storylines go, I do feel it was a good conclusion. It was definitely pure chaos, IYKYK.
We are still watching Gold Rush weekly, and I love watching Real Housewives of Beverly Hills on nights Kyle is bowling since he hates those shows, haha! Do you have tv shows you only watch when your husband is out of the house?

That’s a wrap on this month’s all the things, sweet friends! It felt like sort of a lull in the new year at this point, but I hope you still enjoyed this post. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts in the comments, and hope that your February was so much brighter!

Funny enough, my hubby and I like to watch ‘brain rot’ (aka RHOBH and RHOC) together! It’s nice after a tough day to not need to think and still be entertained. I’m so very sorry to hear about your cat. That is really hard and I’m sending you hugs!
Oh, I love that you both enjoy those shows!! Thank you so so much Laura and I truly appreciate your helpful info from my last post! <3
I am so sorry about your kitty. I do hope she will be okay.

Thank you so so much for all your prayers my dear friend and for listening to me throughout all of this, I am so blessed to have you! Yes, all the comfort food was helpful during that time and now I’m hoping to clean it up a bit.
I’m sorry that Draino is still struggling and very sorry to hear about your parent’s dog. Sending you a big hug! Those chatgpt photo are adorable!

Love you, Regine, thank you so much! 🙂
My heart hurts reading about everything you’ve walked through with Draino and your parents’ pup; our pets really are family, and that constant up and down is so exhausting. Thank you for sharing the hard parts alongside the cozy moments, it makes your space feel so real and comforting.
I know you understand this pain all too well Candice, thank you so so much! And that means a lot, I truly try to be open about all the things, even if they’re not the typical fun/positive things all of the time.
I’m so sorry to read that Draino is still struggling and about your parents’ dog too. Our pets are out family and its so hard when they’re ill. Those Chat GPT photos are so cute – I wonder how Chat GPT sees me! Sending love and virtual hugs.

They absolutely are Julia, they are our babies! Thank you tons for your sweet words and you’ll have to give that a try with ChatGPT, it is kind of neat!
First off, I am so sorry to hear about Draino. Sending prayers of peace and love and she crosses over. Our kitties are like children and I feel your pain my friend. So glad you went to the dentist and doctor and are doing great. I love the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills too. Love seeing Rachel Zoe back. Have a wonderful March Ashley!

Thank you so very much Kathrine, I truly appreciate your prayers!! I completely agree with you, they are our babies. It is so strange not having any fur babies in the house now and just wish I could have Draino and Pepper back, but at least I know they are both not suffering. I love that you also love Rachel Zoe, she is just the best!! Wishing you a blessed new month too!!
I’m so very sorry that you’ve had such a rough start to the new year. I will be thinking about you and praying that things start to look up for you soon. Sending lots of love, Ashley!
Thank you tons Lindsay, I truly appreciate your prayers, I know they will help! I know you know all about this unfortunate pain of losing your fur baby. Wishing you the brightest new month and looking forward to getting caught up on your posts soon!!
I’m so sorry to hear about your cat Ashley :(, that must have been so tough for you all to go through. I hope she was comfortable.
